Practical Travel Information
-
From Madrid Airport
There is no direct train line from Madrid airport to Segovia, you will need to make a change in the city centre. Take the C-1 RENFE train from Terminal 4 at Madrid airport to the Chamartin station. From there you will switch to a different RENFE line that will take you directly to Segovia. The price of the journey is 15.50€ and the total travel time is around 130 minutes.
The C-1 line connects to Terminal 4 on the -1 level of the arrivals floor. If you land in Terminal 1, 2 or 3, you will need to take the free airport shuttle bus to Terminal 4.
A modern high-speed train connects Madrid and Segovia in just over half an hour. These trains leave from the Chamartín Station and price ranges from €20-€40 (roundtrip) depending on the time, day of the week, etc.
Taking the bus is the cheapest way to travel from Madrid to Segovia and we recommend this.
Buses leave from the Moncloa Station (in the north of Madrid) and take approximately 1 hour to get to Segovia.
You can reach Moncloa Station by metro: Line 8 from the airport to Nuevos Ministerios and then Line 6 from there to Moncloa. In Moncloa there is a bus station ("intercambiador") and there are buses from there to Segovia Bus Station (Plaza la Estación de Autobuses) every 15-20 minutes.
From Segovia Bus station to the Casa de Espiritualidad San Frutos is about 10-15 minutes walking.
